In this home there was a tremendous amount of damage caused by ice damming. The ducts were uninsulated and there was only R-13 Batt in the attic. Also there was an excessive amount of air leakage. This is the process of air sealing a skylight tube. In most cases this is an extremely loose area of the home and only covered with fiberglass insulation. We have air sealed the area and will then cover the tunnel with additional fiberglass insulation for a nice insulating blanket.
